President Bola Tinubu has directed the reactivation of the Presidential Delivery Tracker to empower Nigerians to track the implementation of projects across the country in real-time.
He gave the directive at the closing session of the three-day retreat for Ministers, Presidential Aides, Permanent Secretaries, and other high-ranking government officials held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.
The president said that his determination to ensure the active and direct participation of citizens in governance is unwavering and would not relent in achieving his Renewed Hop Agenda for all Nigerians.
President Tinubu also noted that all Nigerians must be given the opportunity to track and report on the implementation of projects across the country.
The President said he had asked his Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, to immediately reactivate the tracking system in a way that maximally leverages cutting-edge digital innovation to provide real time oversight capability for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Tinubu Cautions Ministers Against Personal Ambitions
In a related development, the President has issued a stern warning to his ministers, urging them not to prioritise their personal ambitions over the mission of his administration, which aims to alleviate poverty in Nigeria.
Tinubu emphasised that the participants have a collective responsibility to reshape the nation’s narrative, urging them to engage in open dialogues if they encounter issues related to Nigeria.
He underscored the importance of unity among officials to steer the nation away from the challenges akin to “elephantiasis.”
The President made it clear that no excuses should be entertained, not just from his ministers but also from himself, as he is determined to deliver results to the Nigerian people.
