
On Saturday, suspected hoodlums forcibly entered the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
The intruders, arriving in both cars and motorcycles, targeted the secretariat located near Crowther College, which accommodates a significant number of polling units.
Witnesses observed the hoodlums engaged in heated negotiations over mobilization fees for the upcoming elections. Security officials intervened and subsequently ejected the intruders from the premises.
Meanwhile, Vox9ja reported that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dino Melaye has alleged that voting is not taking place in Ogori Mangogo, Kogi State.
Dino, in a post on the microblogging platform (X), accused officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of refusing to show the PDP agents clean result sheets.
He called on voters to resist and protest if officials of INEC refuse to show the untampered result sheets.

Dino wrote, “Vote not going on in ogori mangogo bc inec staff refuse to show our agents clean result sheets. If they refuse to show you untampered result sheets, resist and protest.”
