
Ebuka Nwokoecha, Heartland FC’s first-choice goalkeeper, successfully underwent surgery on Thursday following an injury sustained during the Naze Millionaires’ 3-2 defeat to Plateau United in an NPFL matchday 16 fixture in Jos, Completesports.com reports.
The Heartland shot-stopper suffered a career-threatening injury with less than 10 minutes remaining in the game and was substituted by Chisom Chiaha.
