Antony’s redemption Real Betis continued on Sunday with another goal and another man of the match award.
As parent club Manchester United toiled in attack (and midfield and defence) in defeat to similarly beleaguered Tottenham, the much-maligned forward was scoring as Betis beat Real Sociedad to climb up to eighth in La Liga.
Antony was allowed to leave United on loan after a largely miserable two-and-a-half years, which garnered just five league goals.
