Biography of Wizkid
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter born on July 16, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos.
He became popular in 2010 after releasing his hit song “Holla at Your Boy” from his debut album Superstar. Since then, Wizkid has grown into one of the biggest Afrobeats artists in the world.
He is known for hit songs like “Ojuelegba,” “Come Closer,” and “Essence.” His sound blends Afrobeats, R&B, and reggae, making his music loved both in Nigeria and internationally.
His album Made in Lagos gave him global recognition and earned him a Grammy Award. Wizkid has also worked with many international artists, helping to take Afrobeats to the world stage.
Today, he is one of Africa’s most successful and influential artists.
